How to Decorate Your Cubicle for Christmas

Holy goodness guess what?! There are only 52 days until Christmas. Yup it’s true. Get ready people. It’s time for overwhelming amounts of green and red, happy little kids running around wearing wintery things with Christmas music surrounding us 24/7. Get ready.

On the off chance you are still rocking your Christmas grump pants, I thought it would be worth it to note a few easy ways to add some holiday love to your cubicle. After all if you are going to be forced to work while others buzz around sipping peppermint mochas and buying expensive sweaters no one will ever wear—you might as well deck out your cube for Christmas. Here’s how to make it happen:

christmas monitor lightsDeck the Monitor with Boughs of Holly (As low as $7.00 a strand): I love this. For just a few bucks you can literally frame your day with Christmas fun. Computer monitor Christmas garland is a great way to bring both your cubicle neighbors and yourself some much needed warmth this holiday season.

holiday stockings in your cubicleHang Stockings (As low as 9.99 a stocking!): This is a great idea for all sorts of reasons. One it is super cheap to do. You can usually find little stockings at a local holiday store or even the closest Target. Secondly, you can play this up in the office and have everyone jump on board. Maybe even fill the stockings with some company sponsored candy treats? Lots of cute things you can do with this idea.

wrap cubicle in holiday wrapping paperGift Wrap It Up (Depends on paper & size of cubicle…$5.00 to $10.00) This one cracks me up. It’s simple enough—your cube is a square so make it the ultimate holiday gift! Wrap it in wrapping paper, add bows, pick different prints…go to town! You certainly will be smiling for the next few weeks when you roll into a huge gift box every morning.

twinkle lightsTwinkle Lights (Average $10.00 a strand of lights): Please note some offices may not love the idea of you wrapping your work space in little blinking electrical lights. But we sure do! You can easily pin up a few strands and literally “light up” your holiday work season. With that said, just be sure to turn them off at night. An office fire is no way to kick of the New Year.

bing crosby white christmas coverChristmas Music (free! Our favorite price): Most of us are listening to Pandora or Slacker radio all year anyway, why not switch it up and put together a Holiday station. We suggest going with the classic—Bing Crosby when looking up an artist or just search through the genre options. Christmas/Holiday music is always there. Just be sure to skip the headphones… holiday music is best when shared and enjoyed with others. Silly singing with co-workers. Yessssss.

christmas tree miniChristmas Tree (Low end is $20.00, ranging up to $50.00): For those of you who are die hard holiday lovers…why not set up an entire Christmas tree in your little cube of Winter Wonderlandness? You can either opt for a little desktop tree or literally drag in a real one (might want to check with management on that one). Whichever you go with—get creative & have a decorating party. It’s a great way to get the whole office in the holiday mood and score some office fun on the company dollar. Yay for Christmas!

So what are you waiting for? Take off those grumy pants already and pimp out the cubicle for Christmas fun. Happy Holidays!
